Working closely with Arbel Electronics (www.arbelelectronics.co.uk), TRC has overcome both technical and cost considerations when only very small mobile signal strength is available.

When implementing practical wireless and mobile (GPRS/UMTS) based M2M solutions, signal strength can become a major issue that is not apparent in a laboratory situation. Adding in extra amplificiation can add in extra cost, cause a board re-design and will not always provide the desired outcome.

Need for Antenna Improvements

Many M2M products will be placed indoors or on industrial equipment that can act as an electromagnetic sheild due to its' construction.

In such cases, the only practical solution is to try to obtain a better signal and the mix of theory and empirical design methodologies employed has resulted in a highly efficient and cost effective result.
